Sanwal was at the forefront of introducing hand-held videos and mobile filmmaking to local emerging artists in Pakistan during the early 2000s. Working alongside renowned activist Fouzia Saeed at Action Aid Pakistan, he enabled these artists to express themselves and find self-empowerment.

Musadiq played a pivotal role in establishing the Interactive Resource Centre (IRC) Lahore, led by fellow Lok Rehas member Muhammed Wasim in Lahore for the promotion of performing arts in communities and youth groups, making more than 10 documentaries on social theatre.
